A part of her in the back of her head was already remembering Maurice's hysterical concerns and hoping that he didn't take her enthusiasm for the pizza for confirmation that his fears were founded. But for real, she was so hungry.

Previously, staying a monster for any extended period of time more or less made for a mild case of the munchies, but not much more. But she hadn't done much more than laze around the apartment.
