[Laura doesn't LET her so much as just ... doesn't react. She got really lost there for a moment, staring into space in a spot just above Heather's shoulder, but she returns to reality shortly thereafter - surprised to find Heather so close, but she doesn't object to it.]
[She does listen. She really does. But she doesn't really HEAR as much as she should have. So she's shaking her head, staring back with such utter conviction in her eyes that it's downright depressing.]
